Panel users
Under Users you decide who can sign in to administer the school, and with what scope. It's a section of Manage school mode.
This is for people who administer the school from the panel: management, office staff, coordinators, administration.
Teachers and families aren't added here but in each level's own sections, and they use the app rather than the panel.
The roles
When you add someone you choose their role, and that defines the menu they'll see.
School administrator
Sees and operates every level, plus the school's settings, users and billing. This is the management role.
Level administrator
Operates only the levels you assign. This is the day-to-day role: groups, people, messages, report cards, content and reports.
Coordinator
Sees only academic work: activities, submissions and report cards. Meant for whoever coordinates teaching without administering the rest.
Accounting
Sees only administrative management: income, expenses, cash and collection reports. No access to students or messages.
If someone only needs to send messages for one level, make them an administrator of that level rather than of the school. It's simpler for them —a shorter menu— and tidier for the school.
Adding someone
With the New button:
Enter their details
First name, surname and email address. The email must be unique: it's what they'll sign in with.
Choose the role
Per the table above.
If they're a level administrator, choose the levels
You can assign one or several. The dropdown takes multiple options and has a search box.
Decide the password
If you leave the field blank, the system generates one and emails it to them. That's the recommended option: nobody but that person knows it.
Editing someone
Use the pencil on their row. You can change their details, their role or the levels they administer.
When adding, leaving it empty makes the system generate one and email it.
When editing, leaving it empty means "don't touch it": the person keeps signing in with the one they had. Only type something there if you want to change it.
Email notifications
The record has an option to have the person receive email notifications for the levels they administer. Useful for finding out there are messages waiting for approval without having to sign in and check.
Your own record
If you registered the school yourself, your user was created under the generic name Administrador. Find yourself in this list and edit your record to set your real first name and surname.
When someone leaves
Edit their record and remove the levels they administered, or change their role. That removes their access without losing the record of what they did while they worked there.
